EVENT: SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY - MARAMARUA

Schools Motocross is getting bigger and bigger every year, so it was no surprise that sooner or later, Cross Country would get its time to shine. Power Adventures have teamed up with the Hauraki Plains College and created their own version. And best of all, it’s sanctioned by Sport Waikato so you kids can officially have a day off to go and racing. Wicked!

Now is the time to represent your school in this new Schools Cross Country event, being help on Friday April 12 in Maramarua Forest. The roughly 15 minute loop will see riders tackle the graded tracks of Maramarua for 90 minutes, in a bid to take home trophies and glory back to their school for real bragging rights. But having fun is the most important aspect of this event. And with the track made to be relatively easy, it is a great event for even the beginner riders to get involved with.

Speaking to the organisers, entries have already flooded in from schools around the country, including Hauraki, Te Aroha, Pio Pio, Thames, Westlake Boys, Te Kauwhata, Matamata, Paeroa, Botany Downs, Kaipara College, St Peters, John Paul College, Bethlehem College, Orewa College, Whangamata College, Western Height College, Mahurangi College, Mercury Bay (Whitianga), Dargaville College, Wairoa College (Hawkes Bay), Napier Boys and Taupo A Nui College.
