QUICK LOOK: 2021 CRF250L AND 250 RALLY

Some pics have been sneaked out online around the updates to Honda’s CRF250L and 250 Rally, with the official release said to be out in a few days.

The 2021 entry-level dual sport models – the CRF250L and CRF250 Rally first came to us in 2013 and 2017 respectively - with the Rally having a little more suspension travel and a slightly larger tank, while sharing everything else with the 250L.

2021 looks like extensive updates are here to combat the likes of the KTM and BMW 390 entry level ADV bikes, including a new air-filter and muffler being seen on the updated models.

By the looks of it, revised body work, swing arm and all-new frame is said to aim at reducing weight. A potential larger fuel tank for the Rally edition goes with the more fuel efficient engine which will be on both bikes.

The front end headlight gets a good makeover, being slimmer and LED, much like you find on the CRF450L model. Add in some LED turn signals, again from the 450L, makes the whole package look more modern an up to date with the current performance lineup of Honda’s. Hand guards and a skid plate can be seen too, and hopefully these come as standard.

Both bikes are also said to be gaining updated longer-travel suspension, although how much is still unclear.

All other details will have to wait for now so start googling from this Friday and wee what you can find.
