RECALL: NZ GASGAS & HUSQVARNA ENDURO RANGE

Due to assembly deviation in the fitment of the locking split pins mounted to the holding bracket, GASGAS is recalling all New Zealand 2021 and 2022 EC enduro bikes and Husqvarna are recalling all 2022 TE and FE Enduro bikes as there may be an issue with the front brake caliper.

GASGAS
As you will know, the GASGAS Enduro range sport the Braktec brand, different from the Magura and Brembo systems that we are used to seeing come out of the Austrian location. So if we had to have a guess, there have been a couple of issues with the new supplier’s caliper.

HUSQVARNA
For 2022 Husqvarna FE and TE range are now using the Braktec system too - so it would seem even more evidential that it might be the BRaktec system.

This recall hit Australia a few months ágo and it has now made it to New Zealand. So all you Enduro model GASGAS and Huusky owners out there - don’t muck around and get your bike checked at your local dealer now.

Due to assembly deviation in fitment, if the locking split pins mounted to the holding bracket are installed incorrectly, it may result in the brake pads becoming detached from the vehicle. Owners of our enduro models are required to contact their local GASGAS/Husqvarna dealer immediately to arrange a booking for their machine where one of our trained technicians will assess your bike and rectify the problem as required.

Customers who have already acquired one of the above-mentioned motorcycles are being informed by a personal letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorized GASGAS or Husqvarna Dealer to arrange an inspection appointment.

In addition, customers can check online in the ‘Service’ area of the GASGAS or Husqvarna website to determine if their motorcycle is affected by this recall. The check and replacement of all parts involved will be carried out at no cost to the customer and must be performed by authorized GASGAS or Husqvarna Dealers only.
