CLOSER LOOK: GPX MOTO MOTORCYCLES

There are many dirt bike brands out there that you will have no idea about. GPX Moto from China could be one of those brands but as you might be able to see, they are starting to look pretty decent come 2020. Let’s take a closer look.

The addition of an FSE 450R and FSE 300R to the GPX Moto range will bolster their small selection of full-sized off-road bikes. Arriving in the US in May this year, the Chinese brand is starting to make a little waves in the dirt biking fraternity. The low prices and seemingly quality components are the main reasons that this new brand is getting a look in. Tackling the Big-5 brands (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, KTM & associates), plus all the other fringe brands (Sherco, Beta, GasGas, etc) is no easy task.

We have not ridden any GPX models as they have not reached Australia as yet. But you can see just from the photos alone that the GPX range slightly resemble a previous model KTM design in the chassis area and body work. The engines looks to be GPX’s own design so it would be interesting to see how the two match up and what kind of durability they provide.

Highlights of the new FSE 450R and FSE 300R Models:

EFi Engines
Six-speed gearbox
Electric start
Stainless exhaust
Adjustable suspension
CNC triple clamps and hubs
Skid plate with linkage guard
Handguards
Frame guards
HD Enduro X wheels
LED display and headlight
Gripper seat

Full-sized GPX Moto models and their price in US dollars are as follows:

Two-Stroke / Six-Speed
TSE 250R - $4999.99

Four-Stroke / Six-Speed
FSE 300R - $4999.99
FSE 450R - $5599.99
FSE 250R - $??

Air-cooled Four Stroke / Five Speed
FSE 250E - $3499

And don’t forget about the FSE 250E, which is their air-cooled engine model within a performance chassis. If this engine is even half as reliable as, say a CRF230 or TT-R230, this could be an absolutely amazing beginners bike. The easy riding and usable power of the air-cooled 250cc engine, combined with a quality chassis sounds great to us. And plenty fun.

When could you expect the GPX Moto brand to come to Australasia? Not any time soon. But if we hear anything - you’ll be the first to know.
