THE WAGER - MOTOMUCK 2-MAN

There comes a time in every boy’s life when he has to throw all his cards on the table and step up to the challenge with infinite strength and unbridled determination. For two young lads, this weekend marks their coming of age…possibly.

The 2022 version of the Motomuck Two-Man kicks off this weekend (June 26) and the stakes have never been higher. It’s a story as old as time itself. Old versus young, experience against youth, brains battling balls. And just like in The Highlander, there can be only one. Though in this case technically two, but you get the idea.

A battle within a war that will take place in the deep sand forest of Woodhill, and prove once and for all…who’s the best pilot?

I will be riding Rhonda for Round 1 but here is a beautiful pic of me and the 125 cause I like it.

It all began when the reigning Motomuck Two-Man champs, Brandon Hoskings and Damon Nield threw out the ‘Friendly Wager’ post on Facebook, basically insinuating that they would ‘smoke’ anyone and everyone (I’m paraphrasing here a little) at Round 1 of the 2022 series. Albeit after I casually reminded them that we beat them at the last round of 2021 - comfortably I might add. Proof below.

As you can clearly see, we took over seven minutes out of the youthful pair during the 3-hour ordeal, in a race where consistency was clearly the winner of the day.

And so there was an accord. The winners will get to pick the loser’s Facebook Profile images that will remain up until Round 2 of the Motomuck series. A small price to put on the line for the glory and accolades that await.

Will it be these two youthful sprockets, who realise their potential, come of age and oust the veterans of the sport?

Or will these old dogs find some new tricks and forge their way out of arthritis avenue and into victory lane?

Only time will tell. So keep your new feed ready in anticipation of the battle of the century. Results and FB profile pics will be up next week for all to see.

In the meantime…here is an artist’s impression of Jono and me after Sunday’s race win. #shakeandbake
